On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, the Educational Foundation will host the Celebration of Excellence in Education, which honors the top 10% academically of the graduating seniors from all five high schools in Lexington County School District One. It will be held at the Brookland Banquet and Conference Center. This event is by Invitation Only and official invitations will be mailed to qualifying students in January.
We welcome sponsors of the Celebration! If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please contact Julie Anderson Washburn at 803-821-1008 or via email. It’s only through the generosity of many that we can continue to offer this very special event to the top students in our graduating classes.
On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, the Lexington One Educational Foundation will hold its Ambassador Program at Lexington High School from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. This is a wonderful chance for leaders in our community to learn about Lexington School District One and the Educational Foundation’s initiatives, as well as detailed information about one of our local schools. If you or someone you know is interested in attending our Fall Ambassador Program, please contact Foundation staff at 803-821-1009.
On Thursday, March 21, 2019, the Lexington One Educational Foundation board of directors will meet. The board is comprised of local business leaders, Lexington One parents and community volunteers who are passionate about supporting Lexington School District One.
The Foundation staff welcome suggestions of individuals who may be willing to serve as future vacancies arise on the board. Please contact Julie Anderson Washburn, executive director, at 803-821-1008 with any suggestions in this regard.
