Adult Education News

Summer 2009 Schedule

Summer school begins Monday, June 8th. Summer hours will be from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday - Thursday.

Summer School Notes:

1. High school seniors! If you should find yourself one or two credits short of getting your diploma, you can attend adult education classes at the Lexington Technology Center to finish up this summer.

2. Students may preregister during the week of June 1st if they are finished with classes at their high school.

3. Classes will meet Monday - Thursday from June 8th through June 25th. Depending on school funding, there may be classes in July as well.

4. Any student who has not passed the Exit Exam (HSAP) can study for it here and take the exam during the week of July 20. The July HSAP date is only for students who have met all other requirements for a diploma.

5. Fees: $30.00 per credit and $20.00 per half-credit. There is no charge for Exit Exam remediation and testing.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM all summer

GED Classes at Pelion High School

Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM; last class June 25th.

ESL Classes at the Lexington Technology Center

Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30 PM - 8:45 PM; last class May 27th.

ESL Classes at Gilbert Primary School

Wednesdays 9:00 PM - 12:00 PM; last class May 27th.

ESL Classes at Red Bank Elementary School

Fridays 9:00 PM - 2:30 PM; last class June 26th.
