YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 17 YEARS OLD TO ENROLL IN ADULT EDUCATION.
Adult Education has open enrollment year round. There are no classes from the last week in June until the second week in August. Otherwise, we follow the Lexington School District One school calendar.
Please enroll in the main office during one of the times listed below. Plan to stay for class at the time you enroll.
GED. Students may study to prepare to take the GED examination. An assessment test will be given to determine plan of study.
Diploma. Students may earn a high school diploma in Adult Education. To earn a diploma credit, the student will be required to complete the course syllabus with a passing grade AND have a MINIMUM of 60 classroom hours. A student must have 24 credits and have passed the SC Exit Exam before a diploma can be awarded. An official transcript, sealed in an envelope by the last school attended, must be provided.
Exit Exam (HSAP). Review classes are FREE to students who have not passed all three parts of the exit exam. Tests are administered in October and April. Students who only need to pass the exit exam to earn a diploma can also test in July.

Diploma Classes meet Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM
GED Classes meet Monday nights from 5:00 PM -- 9:00 PM
New students may enroll anytime during the times listed above and should plan to stay for testing and classes.
