Gilbert Elementary School (GES) is located in a rural area of Gilbert, South Carolina, approximately 20 miles west of Columbia, the capital city. Beautiful Lake Murray is nearby and many of our families enjoy recreational time there. We have a wonderful community park adjacent to our campus. The park, with its 300 seat ampitheater and covered picnic areas, serves also as an extension of our campus and as an outdoor classroom.

At Gilbert Elementary, we think of our school as four walls with tomorrow inside. We prepare our students for the future by guiding them to reach their fullest potential. To do this, our staff, families, and community work to provide interesting and challenging educational experiences.

Through academics and the arts we enhance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of our children. When caring people work together, all students will achieve success.
