Declamation Contest DVD Available
All class winners who competed on Wednesday, April 1st, may request a free copy of a DVD of the entire Declamation Contest. Our webmaster's husband donated a DVD of the contest, and he is willing to duplicate it for the parents of the participants. If you'd like a copy, just e-mail Tricia Wells, our webmaster, before July 6th at:

Relay for Life Successful
The Gilbert Elementary Eagles team exceeded its goal of $10,000. This year we raised $12,456.89. Thank you Gilbert community, GES staff and students for opening your hearts and pocketbooks once again.
Ticket to Read Available Through July 31st
Maintain and IMPROVE your child's reading skills during the summer. Access to Voyager's online reading program has been extended through July 31st. This program adjusts to meet your child's reading level. It continues to adjust as he or she progresses. Students were shown how to use the program.

If you wake up one morning to snow, sleet, or other severe weather, please don't call GES. Instead, you can get information from one of the following sources:
(1) Call Lexington District One's 24-hour prerecorded telephone message center at 803-359-2626.
(2) Click here www.lexington1.net to go to Lexington District One's website
(3) Listen to the local radio stations, or
(4) Watch the local television stations.
