first Family Literacy Night was held Tuesday, September 28, 2004. Attendees
heard Mayor Phil Price read A Fine, Fine School. Mrs.
Gaskins, GMS Literacy Coach, talked to parents about the importance
of reading in the home and strategies to boost their students' reading

and a Literacy Coach. Mrs. Oswald, GMS Media Specialist, booktalked several
of the South Carolina Junior Book Award Books. Click here
