GPS Administrators
Loretta Arnette Loretta Arnette is the principal of GPS. She is a graduate of Columbia College where she earned a BA in Early Childhood Education. She received her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from The University of South Carolina. She has sixteen years of experience in education. She has served the Gilbert community as a parent volunteer, PTA president, second grade teacher, assistant principal and principal. She resides in the Gilbert Community and is involved in community events and organizations such as Gilbert-Summit Kiwanis, Gilbert Ruritans, Athletic Booster Club, the Lexington County Peach Festival and PTA. She has two children, her son who attends Clemson University and her daughter who attends Gilbert High School.
Roy Turner Roy Turner comes to GPS from Red Bank Elementary. Before RBE, Mr. Turner was at Lexington High School for 15 years. At LHS, he taught economics, driver education, and civics. He also coached wrestling, football and golf. He graduated from Presbyterian College with a B.S. degree in Education. He received his M.Ed. degree in Administration from USC. Mr. Turner is married and has one daughter. His hobbies are playing golf, watching golf, watching NASCAR and fishing.
Kimberly Frost Mrs. Frost is a graduate of Lexington High School. She graduated from Newberry College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Childhood Education (EC-GEN NBCT). She earned her Masters Degree and Elementary School Administration Certification from Cambridge College in 2004. she has 13 years of teaching experience: four years in first grade, seven years in second grand and two years in fourth grade, all at Red Bank Elementary. Mrs. Frost is a member of the South Carolina Science Curriculum Council and the International Reading Association, as well as the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD). She has also worked for the district writing math pacing guides and has served on many school and district committees. She is married and has two children, a daughter at Lexington High School, and a son who attends Pleasant Hill Middle School.
