Parents or guardians of children who are 4 years old on or before September 1, 2019 may apply to have their child screened for the 4-year-old kindergarten program.
Fall screenings take place August 20, 21 and 22, 2019.
To participate in this screening, parents/guardians must apply for the program at the elementary or primary school your child would normally attend prior to the scheduled Fall screening dates.
The district’s 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Program offers classes that are housed in identified elementary schools. If a child is accepted into the 4K program, but classes are not offered at the school in his/her attendance area, that child will attend a 4K class at another 4K program school.
For example, a 4-year-old student zoned to attend school at Meadow Glen Elementary and accepted into the program will attend 4K at Oak Grove Elementary.
You must first apply for the 4K program at the elementary or primary school in your attendance zone, and then you will receive information about screening from the school where the class meets. If you are unsure of the school for which you are zoned, just click on the “SCHOOLS” tab at the top of the page, click on “School Locator”at the top of the page and enter your address.
