Lexington County School District One invites teachers to attend the district’s annual Teacher Recruitment Fair on Saturday, January 26, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Lexington High School (2463 Augusta Highway, Lexington, SC 29072).
The district will provide teachers an opportunity to meet and speak with district administrators, principals and teacher leaders representing each of the district’s 30 schools, learn about our programs, share their résumés and potentially interview for the 2019–2020 school year.
The district encourages interested teachers to pre register by completing the district’s online application and to bring multiple copies of their résumés.
Lexington District One serves more than 26,800 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 with more than 3,747 employees (not including substitutes) and 30 schools (17 elementary schools, 7 middle schools, 5 high schools, 1 technology center), as well as an alternative learning program called Alternative Educational Services. During the past 10 years (2008–2018), the district grew 5,052 students, an average of 505 new students per year and remains one of the fastest growing school districts in the state, ranking sixth in total enrollment.
