Officer Walker, LMS, and our PTO
sponsored a four-week series of one hour seminars during October 2004.
The seminars were geared towards giving parents more information
about certain pressures and temptations our children face
in today's world. Each topic had a guest expert in that field.
Experts from LARADAC, the Lexington County Sheriff's Dept.,
the Town of Lexington Police Dept., SLED, and the federal Drug
Enforcement Agency participated in the seminars.
Topics for October 2004 were:
"Alcohol and Today's Youth"
"Gangs and Local Activity"
"Children and Computers...Safety on the
Internet"
"Drugs and the Latest Trends"
(All evening programs were held in the LMS Cafeteria.)
