I’m helping open Pleasant Hill Elementary School this summer, and it with a heavy heart that I have to say goodbye to all my MES friends and family! I am absolutely thrilled to know that Mrs. Susan Cathey will be next year’s MES Library Media Specialist! She is wonderful. She has been the library media specialist at Saxe Gotha Elementary for the past 10 years and served in Saluda County schools before that. She has a daughter that teaches at White Knoll Elementary and a brand new grandbaby too. Mrs. Cathey loves books and loves learning, and she’s even been known to wear “alligator shoes” and silly hats. Mrs. Cathey and I have led workshops together in the past, and I always learn something new when I’m with her. I am looking forward to planning and sharing programming ideas with Mrs. Cathey. She will make the library media center a friendly and welcoming place and that makes *me* feel good.
