The second qrade general music experience includes:

Recognizing music elements:

Becoming aware of steps, leaps, repeats, phrases, cadences

The third grade general music experience includes:
Singing
Movement

Recognizing music elements:

Distinguishing between steps, leaps, repeats, phrases, cadences
Beginning to be aware of complexities in tone colors (ex.
voices, instruments)
Becoming aware of meter, music notation, difference between beat
and rhythm
