CLASS ASSIGNMENT DAY
Our Class Assignment Day will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 from
7:30 AM – 7:00
PM in the PHES cafeteria. At this time you will be able to find out
your child’s
teacher and room number, purchase meal tickets, join the PTA, purchase spirit
wear, etc. EVERYONE WILL BE ASKED TO PROVIDE A CURRENT UTILITY BILL TO SHOW PROOF
OF RESIDENCE IN THE PLEASANT HILL
ATTENDANCE AREA.
NEW STUDENT/FAMILY ORIENTATION
Orientation for new PHES students in grades 1 – 5 and their families
will be held on Sunday, August 16 at 2:00 PM in our media
center. Students will meet with our guidance
counselors, and parents will meet with our administrators.
OPEN HOUSE
On Sunday, August 16, PHES families are invited to drop by between
3:00 and 5:00. Students are asked to bring their school supplies
to this drop-in so everything will be ready for them when school
begins on August 19!
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
The first day of school for all students for the 2009-10 school year will be
Wednesday, August 19, 2009. School hours are 7:40 AM – 2:25
PM.
PARENT ORIENTATION DATES FOR 2009-10
Kindergarten: Monday, August 17th at 6:00 PM
Grade 2: Thursday, August 20th at 6:00 PM
Grade 3: Thursday, August 20th at 6:00 PM
Grade 4: Monday, August 24th at 6:00 PM
Grade 5: Tuesday, August 25th at 6:00 PM
Mrs. Mewbourn’s Class: Tuesday, August 25th 6:00 PM
Grade 1: Thursday, August 27th at 6:00 PM
LEXINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT ONE TEACHER-LED COLLABORATIVE PLANNING
2009-10
Collaborative planning sessions will be scheduled one day per month on the
following dates during the 2009-10 school year: Sept. 16, Nov. 11, Feb. 3,
April 28,
Oct. 7, Dec. 9, March 3 On those dates, middle and high school students will have a late start to the
school day beginning at 10:15 AM.
Elementary students will have an early release to the school day by dismissing
at 11:40 AM.
