MORNING FITNESS PROGRAM
All PHES students have the opportunity to walk/run in the morning before the school day begins. Each day a different grade level will walk or run on the track outside. Students should meet our PE teacher, Mr. Cronin, in the PE room at 7:10 a.m. Students will go with him to the track, and they will walk/run from 7:15—7:35 a.m. Students that arrive after 7:15 a.m. should go back to their homeroom. We do not want students to walk to the track without adult supervision. If the weather is bad, Mr. Cronin will lead students in exercises in the PE room. The Morning Fitness Program schedule is listed below:
Monday—grade 5
Tuesday—grade 4
Wednesday—grade 3
Thursday—grade 2
Friday—grade 1 and kindergarten

Traffic Notes -- Students are not allowed to be dropped off beside or behind our school. We do not have supervision there. In addition, this is a dangerous place for students as garbage trucks and delivery trucks are in this area. Please only drop off or pick up students by the curb in front of our school. Please do not pull into a handicapped parking place to let a child off (unless you are handicapped). Please do not let children off in the parking area in front of our school. We appreciate your help in keeping our children safe.

December 3, 2007--Yellow flashing lights have been installed on Rawl Road, and speed limit is 25 mph when lights are flashing (beginning of school day and end of school day). As part of our traffic plan, cars are allowed to pass stopped cars in the right lane to move into available spaces by the curb. We thank you for using your blinkers to let other drivers know what you are trying to do. We also thank you for being considerate and courteous as drivers pull into spaces along the curb.
Students are not to be dropped off in the parking lot area. (You may park in the parking area and walk students to the crosswalk.) The only place for dropping off students is by the curb in front of the school. Thanks for your help. Thank you for helping keep our students safe.

January 4, 2008 -- Thank you for your help in keeping our children safe.
Please refrain from using your cell phone as you drive through the drive in front of our school. We appreciate your devoting all attention to watching for children that may be in front of our school.
Please remember that the speed limit in front of our school during when the yellow light is flashing is 25 miles per hour. This speed limit will be enforced by Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
In the morning, students can be dropped off by the curb that is right past the crosswalk. There is a sidewalk there.
