Let’s Help Our Custodial Staff
1. Have your students put up all chairs at the end of each day. Be sure when chairs are stacked not to damage A/C units, walls, etc. Chairs can be placed on desks.
2. Make sure students pick up all paper, pencils, erasers, and crayons off the floor at the end of the day.
3. Use only magnets on file cabinets. Labels, stickers, and tape leave a sticky residue to collect dirt.
4. Protect our black chalkboards and white boards by attaching items with magnetic clips, not scotch or masking tape.
5. Do not use tacky wax, sticky glue, or EZ clips on walls.
6. Encourage the use of recycle bins, but monitor students to avoid having trash in the bins.

Staff Lounge and Workrooms
The staff lounge is for you to enjoy whenever the chance arises. There is a refrigerator, microwave, coke machine, and snack machine in this room. Copiers and staff mailboxes are located in the workrooms. Please check your mailbox daily for any messages. Students are not allowed in the lounge or workrooms.
Staff members are encouraged to keep these areas clean. This includes any dishes or items used by staff. Our housekeeping staff should not be responsible for washing dishes. All workrooms should be kept clean and in order. Dirty dishes will be thrown away if left over night.
Staff members are reminded that the refrigerators located in the lounge and workrooms are for short-term storage. Items need to be removed after several days. The refrigerator will be emptied on the last Friday of the month and all food will be thrown away.
1. All work/information to be displayed should include (on back or front) the name of the staff member who displayed the item
2. Staff members who find items in the hall will pick up and place the items in the box of the staff member who was responsible for hanging the display.
3. All work/posters should be attached to cork strips or hung by a glue gun. Please do not use masking tape.
4. Bulletin board displays should be put up as soon as the previous display is removed.
5. Any posters, information and work, which are displayed, are the responsibility of the individual who posted them. This means the items need to be monitored and removed by the person who displayed them.
6. All displays should be current.
7. Unused chairs and tables should not be stored in the hallways.
8. Chairs and desks used in hallways should be arranged in a neat and orderly manner.
9. Encourage students to take an active role in keeping our hallways and classrooms neat and attractive.
