Why is RBE podcasting? -
What a great and easy way to disseminate information to the RBE community. Individuals simply subscribe to a podcast and then each episode can be automatically downloaded to a computer and then listened to at the subscriber's convenience. We envision sharing information about what is happening in our school, student projects, classroom events, and information and training for teachers.
Do I have to have an IPod or Mp3 player to listen to a podcast? -
Absolutely not!! Most people just use their computer to listen to podcasts. If you do have one you can download podcasts to your listening device and listen anywhere and anytime.
What software do I need? -
If you are only subscribing and listening to podcasts you only need one piece of software, a podcatcher. There are several possible applications that can be used for this purpose. I use a free cross-platform application called Juice v2.2. The latest version can be downloaded from this site. Or, you can download Juice v2.2 from this page. Another popular podcatching application is Itunes which can be downloaded from here.
