Below you will find some general guidelines and tutorial videos designed to help make you a more efficient and effective unitedstreaming user.

Searching for videos, images, and other resources:

What to do once you have found a video or other resource:

•  Before downloading check the shared folder for videos or clips that might meet your needs.

•  Download in the mornings if possible… it is much faster… I know you don't normally have time to do this in the mornings but if you will use the playlist to save the videos you want to download and then download from your playlist in the mornings you will save yourself a lot of time. (See “Using the Playlist” from below for more information about this tool.)

•  You can download straight to your desktop but please remember to add whatever you download to the shared drive – L:\A - United Streaming

•  Playing videos from the shared drive should not be a problem for anyone. If you try and the video stops and restarts you may want to move the video to your desktop and try playing it from there.

Using the Playlist - A playlist is just like adding a favorite or a bookmark to a website. When you choose the “a” the corresponding video or clip will be added to your playlist. This is a great strategy for finding the videos you need and then downloading them at a later time. You can use your playlist when you search at home and then want to download at school, or when you are searching in the afternoon when our internet access really slows down.

Using the Calendar Learning Tool – The calendar learning tool allows you to quickly find videos that are associated with particular dates. For example…If you looked at Nov. 11 th 2005 you would find a number of resources for Veteran's Day.
