Set
Your GroupWise Password:
To access your GroupWise from home or another location, =
you
will first need to set your password at your school computer. To do this, Open GroupWise (globe icon). On t=
he top
menu bar of the GroupWise email screen, click Tools, then Options (at
the bottom). In the next small window, doub=
le
click Security. In this window, type in your email password and then re-type it to confirm. (Your email
password is the same as your Novell password unless you have been asked to =
make
a change in your Novell password since the beginning of the year.) After this is done, you will be ab=
le to
access your GroupWise from another location.

that window. Open Internet Ex=
plorer
and follow directions below.
You will need to have an Internet connection.
Open Internet Explorer, go to the address or location bar
and type the following: http://mail=
.lexington1.net/ Press <enter>
The first screen that comes up will be GroupWise WebAcce=
ss,
click on ‘Go.’
A Security Information screen may pop up next. If it does, click on
‘continue.’
The next screen will ask for your User Name and Password. Type your user name exactly=
as it
appears in the GroupWise address book. (bburkett=
). The
password is the GroupWise email password, which you set at your school
computer.
Remember this password is case sensitive so you must know if you use capitals or lower case let=
ters
in it. Choose a password that=
is
easy to remember because no one else will know it. You can change your pass=
word
at any time. NEVER tell the comput=
er
to remember the password - you have just defeated the reason for having one=
.
When finished typing your Name and Password, click on the
Login button.
A Security Information screen may pop up next. If it does, click on
‘continue.’
The GroupWise mailb=
ox will
have all of the folders and mail that are in your regular GroupWise mailbox=
at
school.
Navigation tools can be found on the left side of the screen. As you move your cursor over each =
icon,
a description of its function will pop out to the right.

The
first icon, which resembles a globe, is used to view your mailbox.

The second =
icon,
which resembles a paper and pen, is used to compose a message, appointment,
task, or note.
¨
The third i=
con,
which resembles a rolodex, allows you to search your address books.
¨
The fourth =
icon,
which resembles a calendar, will allow you to view your GroupWise calendar.=

The fifth i=
con,
which resembles a row of books, is used to search for documents.
The three icons that can be found on the top of =
the
screen will show a description of its function out to the right, as you move
your cursor over each icon.

which resembles a checklist, is the options icon.
¨ The third i= con, which resembles an open door, is used to exit WebMail.
