What if I don’t see Photo Editor on my desktop?

Go to Start > Programs > Microsoft Office Tools > Microsoft Photo Editor.
If you don’t see it there, put in work order to have your technician install it.

How do I open an image in Photo Editor?

  • Open Photo Editor.
  • Go to File and select Open.
  • Use the drop down arrow in the Look in box to find your image.

What if the picture is upside-down or sideways?

  • Go to Image in the top menu bar and select Rotate.
  • Select the appropriate orientation.
  • Click OK.

How do I resize an image?

  • With the image window open, go to Image on the top menu bar and select Resize
  • Under Units, choose pixels, cm, or inches.
  • Select the size you desire.

How can I compress an image that is too large?

  • With the image window open click on file and Save As.
  • Click the More button at the bottom.  Move the sliding bar a far to the left as it will go.
  • Give the picture a new name.
  • Click Save.
     

How do I crop an image?

  • Use the Select Tool Crop to select the area you wish to keep.  
  • Go to the Image menu and select Crop.
