Content Area: Langurage Arts, Science
Grade Level: Pre K - 3rd Grade
Lesson Description: The children will choose a tree to observe throughout the school year. Each month at a designated time the children will take a digital picture of the tree. Teachers of younger children may want to print the pictures and have the children write a sentence or two describing the tree each month. These could be made into a book or displayed in the room to refer to when talking about different seasons. Different types of trees could be observed and older children could keep an ongoing record of their trees' appearances by inserting the pictures into PowerPoint and saving onto the school network drive.
