Interest Areas for Future Learning
Analysis:
As I anticipated, Smart Notebook training is the highest area of interest. As I already mentioned, this will be a primary focus for staff development and individual coaching.
Podcasting, Photo Story, Voice Threads, and Blogging were pretty much of equal interest. I would be interested to know if the same people were interested in all of those, or if these votes were from different people. There's no way to know!
Action Plan:
Training on Smart Notebook will be offered regularly, and I will also focus on sharing Notebook files we already have. I will offer another session on podcasting. I will come to your room to help record your students for podcasts or Voice Threads. I am
available in my lab to help your class create Photo Stories. I will also set your class up with individual student blogs if you are interested. All 5th grade students now have personal
student blogs. This is a great instructional tool that builds literacy while motivating and engaging students.
