Greetings Mallard Family!

My name is Dr. Travis Keller, and it is with extreme pleasure that I get the opportunity to serve as the principal of Forts Pond Elementary, home of the Mallards. I have 24 years of experience in education serving in various capacities: substitute teacher, elementary teacher, guidance counselor, elementary and middle school administrator, college professor, and student teacher internship supervisor. I am looking forward to serving all families, communities, and constituents to ensure our continuous uplifting efforts to grow Forts Pond Elementary as a world class school that produces world class, productive scholars. Most importantly, I cannot wait to begin that work alongside the devoted teachers, staff, community, and our amazing students.

During the 2022-2023 school year, it is my goal to continue the progress that has been made under Mrs. Smith’s leadership. I want to make sure that all students work to their maximum potential and obtain success (academically, socially, and/or emotionally). In order for this to occur, we all need to work together in unison and combine our resources to make sure that all students and teachers have what they need to be successful. I encourage all families to work with their child’s teacher and the school to ensure this success. I would like for families to get involved in the PTO or SIC to make your voices heard or become a classroom/school volunteer or mentor.
