Hearn received a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and Spanish from Auburn University, a Master of Education in secondary mathematics from the University of South Alabama and his administrative endorsement in secondary educational leadership from The Citadel. He is certified as a secondary principal and secondary supervisor and in secondary and middle school mathematics.
Mr. W. Bryan Hearn
During a special called board meeting held May 30, 2017, the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees approved the administration’s recommendation that W. Bryan Hearn becomes the new principal at Pelion High School.
With 18 years of educational experience, Bryan Hearn currently serves as the director of Lexington Technology Center. He replaces R. Clark Cooper who joins Central Services’ Student Services Office as Director of Student Services.
Hearn began his career in 1999 as a mathematics teacher at Oakbrook Middle School in Dorchester School District Two, transferring to Summerville High School in 2003, where he served as ninth-grade academy team captain. In 2004, he joined Wando High in the Charleston County School District as assistant principal. In 2013, Hearn became director of the Lexington Technology Center for the 2013–2014 school year.
The 2017 South Carolina Association of School Administrators South Carolina Career and Technology Administrator of the Year, he is president-elect of the South Carolina Career and Technology Education Administrators and a member of the Association for Career and Technical Education, South Carolina Association for Career and Technical Education, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, National Association of Secondary School Principals and the Lexington Rotary Club.

Mr. Gooding earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Newberry College and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. He holds certifications in physical education, secondary administration and secondary supervision.
Mr. Tracy Gooding
Tracy began his educational career in 2000 as a physical education teacher and junior varsity football coach at Lexington High. In 2002, he moved to Barnwell High in Barnwell School District 45 to teach physical education and coach varsity football and junior varsity baseball. In 2004, he returned to Lexington One as a physical education teacher and varsity football and wrestling coach at Gilbert High.
This is Mr. Gooding’s third year as an administrator and his third year as a Pelion Panther. He enjoys working with the students and staff and is looking forward to a successful school year!
