Wilson Barajas

¡Hola!

I’m Señor Barajas, I’m from Bogotá (Colombia) and I’m one of the world language teachers at GMS.  This is my sixth year teaching at GMS and the eleventh overall in my education career.

I teach Spanish 1 in 8th grade, 6th-grade immersion, and 7th-grade exploratory. I came to the U.S. with an international program seven years ago, and since that, I have been teaching at the middle and high school levels. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching Spanish and Literature from the University of Santo Tomas (Bogotá-Colombia) Master’s of arts in teaching Spanish as a Second Language from La Rioja International University (Spain) and a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Universidad de Madrid (Spain).

I’m married and my wife is also a Spanish teacher, we have two awesome kids, Santiago (12) and Isabella (9). When I’m not at school, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends. We enjoy traveling and visiting new places, especially going to Colombia since all our family lives there.

I’m looking forward to an amazing year!
