Hi, My name is Kelley Boggs. I am so excited about the new school year. This will be my 12th year teaching Special Education at Midway Elementary. In fact, I love Midway so much; I even attended Midway as a student myself from Kindergarten to 5th grade. After I graduated from Lexington High School, I attended Lander University on a soccer scholarship and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. When I leave the classroom in the afternoons, I head to the soccer field to coach the Lexington High School Girls Varsity Soccer team. However, in my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Kenny, my family, friends and my 4-legged fur babies. I am especially excited to be welcoming my own sweet baby girl Mustang this September!

Hi, My name is Lauren Amick.  This is my first year at Midway Elementary and I am looking forward to being a part of the Mustang Family.  I started my teaching career in Special Education and have taught choir and drama for the last ten years.  I am looking forward to this year being back in Special Education with Mrs. Boggs.  After I graduated from White Knoll High School,I attended Columbia College and earned my Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a certificate in Early Childhood Education.  When I am not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sweet, wild boys.  I also enjoy singing, reading, coaching cheerleading, watching Gamecock athletics, and spending time outdoors with my family

My name is Catherine Lazenby and I will be your child's teacher this year!  I am so excited to get to know everyone.  This will be my 23rd year teaching special education.  I graduated from Columbia College with a degree in Special Education and later with a masters in Divergent Learning. I began my teaching career here at MES.  I taught at MES for 19 years before moving to Crossroads Intermediate for 2 years.  This is my 3rd year back at MES! I am so glad to be back home!  I have 3 children. My daughter, Belle, is entering her 2nd year in high school this year. My son, Carter, is starting his senior year. My oldest, Joshua, will be a Junior at USC! In addition to my human children, I have two dogs named Ozzy and Scarlet! We also have two cats Pepper and Maggie. You will hear lots about them this year.  I can't wait to see some familiar faces this year and meet many new friends as well! 

Hello Mustangs! I am looking forward to my seventh year here at Midway. I attended University of South Carolina and received my B.A. in Elementary Education. I enjoy fishing and paddle boarding with friends and my sweet puppy Marley. I have three children, a 2 year old grandson, and another on the way! Oh about to forget my grand dog Mu.
