Hello!!! I am Laura Gates and I have been teaching 30+ years in Lexington School District One.  I LOVE  what I do at Midway Elementary.  When your child walks into my gym they are ready to learn about being  physically fit throughout their life and new sport skills(pickleball) to give them activities to participate in that are lifelong.  I have 2 children, Mitchell and Caroline, who I have watched grow into awesome adults.  My husband Al retired from being a principal and has recently taken a job at the VA.  I also have 3 dogs who keep me moving, Petey, Cosmo and Stella Jane.
