I have been an educator for 19 years. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade, as well as spending 6 years as a literacy coach. I have been a Midway Mustang for the last 16 years. I have one daughter who will be a 5th grader this year and a baby boy. We have 2 dogs and 2 rabbits. We enjoy spending time on the lake, riding bikes, and reading. I love teaching and learning. I know that even the most challenging of times can teach us powerful lessons about ourselves and the world. It's our job to watch, listen, and learn.

Hello! I am Mme. Garcia, I am gracious and excited to start my second year as part of the Mustang family!
I am from Venezuela and I have a Bachelor's in Modern Languages. I have been working for over 12 years teaching French, English, and Spanish to all types of people, but I have to recognize that kids are my favorite kind of audience! Teaching languages is my passion, and being able to give my students such a powerful tool to connect and interact with the rest of the world really fulfills my heart.
I love dancing, trying new food, going to restaurants, traveling, and sharing with my husband Mario and my 7-year-old daughter Maria. They are my best companions in this new life adventure.
This will be a great year!

I have been in education since 2005 and have taught both 3rd and 4th grades. I began my teaching career at Midway Elementary and I am a proud mustang for sure! I live in West Columbia with my husband Clyde and we enjoy spending time with our family on the beach or at the lake. I love learning new things and sharing this love with my students. It's going to be a great year!
