Ms. Amy Gunter

Growing up, I spent many years playing school with my little sister, babysitting for neighbors, and working with children at the YMCA and youth cheerleading camps. Teaching young children has always been a love of mine. After graduating from Clemson in 1993, I went on to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching from USC in 1998. I started my teaching career in Lexington One at Pelion Elementary teaching second grade for 3 years. I moved to White Knoll in 2003, where I have loved teaching kindergarten ever since. It is an honor and a blessing to watch my students grow and learn.

My pride and joy are my three sons. Tyler (23) works in Atlanta; Ethan (20) is a Clemson sophomore majoring in finance, and Jacob (18) is a freshman in the Clemson Bridge program majoring in Ag Mechanization and Business. I have a three-year-old Golden Retriever who loves taking walks around our neighborhood.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, camping, trying new recipes, and going to the lake or the beach. I am also a big Clemson fan ~ GO TIGERS!!!
