I am a native Tennessean.  I met my husband and moved to Augusta, Georgia, where I began my adult career in sales and marketing. I was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Holiday Inn Corporation in Augusta for many years.  After my children were born, I was fortunate that my husband supported my education, so I became a “non-traditional” college student.  I received my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina Aiken and my master’s degree in Elementary Education from there as well. 

         I have two wonderful grown children, Josh and Aubrey. Josh lives in Augusta, Ga. and Aubrey lives in Greensboro, NC.  I also have a handsome grandson, Remy.  One of my greatest joys is when we get to spend time together as a family.  Away from school, I enjoy reading, decorating, and playing at the lake. I also love college football and spending time with my husband, Mike. We have been married 32 years, and he works for Charter Communications.
