Hello, my name is Michael Ritch and I am excited to be teaching science here at Beechwood. I grew up on a farm in Aiken, SC with my two brothers. I began my teaching career back in 2000 in Fort Mill, SC and received my Masters in Middle Level Science from Winthrop University. I love empowering students through science showing them how they can impact and change the world around them. 

I have an amazing wife and two sons. I spend most of my free time driving them to different practices and events. As a family we love to spend time in the mountains, playing board games, and watching Marvel movies. Saturdays in the fall you will find me cheering on my Georgia Bulldogs and during the summer watching Atlanta Braves baseball.
