I am excited to be teaching in the Health and PE department this year!  I have been teaching Spanish at the Beech since its opening, as well as coaching the champion Bengal cheerleaders.  I earned my bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a concentration in Spanish from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, followed by a Master of Arts in secondary education with a concentration in Health and PE.  Upon returning to South Carolina in 2007, I completed my Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and love to continue learning and growing with a variety of professional training and endorsements, including Gifted and Talented, Literacy, ESOL, and soon a Doctorate in Global Sports Leadership.  

When not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family.   I have four daughters, and we regularly travel to the beach, the mountains, and anywhere else we can find adventure, including Costa Rica, Belize, Jamaica, and anywhere we can learn about new cultures and explore!
