Hi,

My name is Anita A. Hutto. I am the librarian here at PES. I have been in education for 27 years and have been a librarian for the last 19 years. After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Elementary Education, I started teaching 7th and 8th grade Math in North, SC. I was there for 7 years. While receiving my Masters of Library and Informational Science from USC, I started working as a librarian in Bowman, SC. I finished my degree and spent 5 years at Bowman. I then became the librarian at Congaree-Wood Early Childhood Center in Pine Ridge, SC where I spent 9 years. I started here at PES in August of 2017. 

I love my job! Being able to show students the love I have for reading and research is the best feeling! I love to see their eyes light up when they discover new information about a topic or when they discover a new "best book" ever! 

When I am not at work, I love being with my family and friends! READING, watching TV, and cheering on My USC GAMECOCKS!

My name is Dawn Lucas. I am the librarian assistant here at PES. I have been in education for 20 years and have been a librarian assistant for the last 13 years. I started my career at PES as an instructional assistant for 7 years. I worked in Kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grades. I transferred to Gilbert Middle School and worked as the librarian's assistant for 7 years. I came back home to PES in August of 2017. 

When I am not at work, I love being with my family. I am married to Mr. David Lucas. We have two wonderful sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Skylar and Allen and Brittany! READING, spending time with my grandchildren (Kinsley, Payton, Noah, and Christian) and cheering on My CLEMSON TIGERS!
