Online registration is underway now!
Beginning Monday, July 25, parents/guardians can register their student(s) for the 2022–23 school year.
ALL students must register, including new students (Pre-K, kindergarten, new to the district) who have already completed the enrollment process.
You will no longer need a secure “snapcode” to register, as you did in past years. Instead, you will register in PowerSchool Parent Portal.
If you already have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, log in and click on 2022–23 Online Registration.
Please remember to complete the process for each of your students.
If you do NOT already have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, you must create one before you can register your student for school. Find directions for creating an account here.
Don’t forget that to complete the process, you will need:
- current email address.
- current utility bill/statement, lease/mortgage statement or property tax statement showing parent’s name and home address within the district for proof of residency.
- parent’s South Carolina driver’s license or other state or federal photo identification.
- completed South Carolina Certificate of Immunization only if you are a new Lexington District One student or have been notified by your school nurse of necessary immunizations.
If you do not have access to the internet at home, work or at your local library but would like to register online, contact your child’s school to find out when you could use a school computer to register online.
If you have a question about the online registration process, please call your child’s school directly.
Please remember that most schools have limited staff in their front office during the summer, and you may have to call the school more than one time.

FAQs
-
Help! I’m having technical difficulties.
For technical support, visit https://help.powerschool.com/t5/Support-Case-Chat/ct-p/SupportCaseChat
-
I’m not sure how to answer a question. I don’t understand what the question is asking.
You can call your school to ask any general questions about the form. A list of schools and the front desk telephone numbers for those schools can be found on our website at https://www.lexington1.net/schools.
-
What if I have more than one student in the district?
We’ve learned that it is helpful to complete and submit one form for just one of your children before you start on another form for another child.
Once you do that, then you will be able to “snap” (share) some of the information from your first child's form onto the second child's form, so that information will not need to be entered again. However, some information cannot be snapped, and will have to be entered each time.
-
I’ve completed the form, now what?
Once you finish entering your information, click “Submit.”
This sends all of the information you entered to the school. If you find that you cannot click on this button, you need to make sure that you have answered all REQUIRED questions marked as required.
If you have missed any required fields, they will be reflected on the Summary page.
-
What if I make a mistake?
If you would like to make a change, prior to submitting the form, you can navigate back to a previous page or move forward to the next page using the “Previous” and “Next” buttons.
On the “Summary ” page, you will see a list of the other pages. Next to each page will be a number. If that number is in red, click it, and it will take you back to the error to correct it.
If you already submitted the form with an error or inaccurate information, then you will need to contact your child’s school. They can then make the change for you.

I qualified for free or reduced price meals last year.
If you want to register online and feel that you may qualify for free or reduced price meals, just choose the “Skip Online Payment/Handle at School” option on the payment page. Note that if you select an optional elective fee, such as yearbook, parking, or athletics, online payment is required. You will need to change your option on these fees if you do not wish to pay online.
-
The payment page seems slow.
Once Submit is clicked on the payment page, parents should not close or stop the browser or use the browser back button. Please wait and allow 1-2 minutes for the page to process. A change should not be made to the payment type once Submit has been clicked on the Payment page.
-
Do I have to pay my fees online?
No.
Although you register online, you do not have to pay your fees online.
You can pay your fees during back to school activities. Just choose the “Skip Online Payment/Handle at School” option on the payment page.
If you select an optional elective fee, such as yearbook, parking, or athletics, online payment is required. You will need to change your option on these fees if you do not wish to pay online.
-
Do I have to answer all the questions?
No.
You must fill out any question marked as required.
-
Does Online Registration charge us a fee when we pay our school fees online?
No.
This year, you will access Online Registration through PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you do not already have a PowerSchool Parent Portal Account, please visit the district website here for instructions.
-
Is there a fee to use Online Registration?
No.
There is no fee.
-
If I enrolled my child for kindergarten back in January, do I still need to register online?
Yes.
In January you enrolled your student in the school district.
This online process allows you to register your student for the new school year, fill out some paperwork and even pay fees. Then, you will have many of the things already done that you normally do when you go to the school.
-
If I am enrolling my child in a Lexington One school for the very first time, can I do that online by following the Online Registration links on the district’s website?
No.
Before you do anything, make sure you know which school your child will attend by going to our website and choosing the "School Locator" link under the “Schools” tab at the top.
- Once there, just enter your home address. The system will let you know what schools your child will attend.
Then, on the district website, click on “I AM > A Parent/Guardian.” From there, click “Enrolling your Child.” The links on this page will allow you to enroll your child in the district. This is not the same process as Online Registration.
You will need your child’s birth certificate, a completed South Carolina Certificate of Immunization and proof of residency.
- For proof of residency, you will need a current electric bill/statement or other utility bill showing your name and home address within the district and your South Carolina driver’s license or other state or federal photograph identification.
- If you are unable to produce any of the documents listed above, please contact the school or the Office of Student Services at 803-821-1029 to discuss alternative documentation that may be acceptable.
Once you enroll your child, the school can help you create a PowerSchool Parent Portal Account that will allow you to complete the remainder of the Online Registration information.
-
Do I still need to bring proof of residency to the school?
Proof of residency can be provided to the district online through a new document upload feature. Proof of residency may be a current electric bill/statement showing your name and home address within the district, or another utility bill. You will also need to submit a copy of your South Carolina driver's license or other state or federal photograph identification. You can learn more about the document upload feature in the Online Registration system.
If you are unable to produce any of the documents listed above, please contact the school or the Office of Student Services at 803-821-1029 to discuss alternative documentation that may be acceptable.
-
When registering my child, do I need to provide my child’s birth certificate?
If your child has been attending school in Lexington County School District One schools, you do not need to provide the birth certificate again.
