French Teacher

My name is Erin Hamner and I am excited to continue teaching French at LMS this year! I will be teaching French 1 for 8th grade, French Exploratory for 7th grade, and French 1 and Passport for 6th grade immersion. This is my seventh year teaching French in Lexington One. I hold a B.A. in French with a concentration in teaching foreign language from the University of South Carolina. Although I received my degree from USC, I completed a significant amount of my studies in France at the Institut de Touraine in Tours and the Université d'Artois in Arras. More recently, I earned my first masters degree, M. Ed. in Education Administration, also from USC.

When I am not at LMS, I like to spend time outdoors. My husband and I are avid hikers and like to visit western North Carolina as much as possible. Looking Glass Rock in Pisgah National Forest is one of our favorite hikes. During school breaks and summers, I like to travel. Warsaw, Poland and Mallorca have been some of my favorite travel destinations in recent years!
