I am so excited and blessed to be teaching 6th grade ELA here at Beechwood Middle School. 

I am originally from outside of Reading, PA. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education/Visually Impaired K-6 (1993) and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education K-6(2001) from Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA. I started my teaching career with Third Grade in January 1997 in Laureldale, PA!  My previous teaching experience - 3rd Grade-10 and half years, 5th grade-3 years at Muhlenberg School District, Laureldale, PA, 4th grade-2 years, 5th grade Math/Science-4 years, 2nd grade-1 year at West Clayton Elementary, Clayton, NC and one year-6th grade Math at Riverwood Middle School, Clayton, NC,  and 4 years at Carolina Springs Middle School, Lexington, SC-ELA(1yr), Math(1yr), Social Studies(2yrs). I love teaching and helping students to grow and be successful. It is always my goal every year to make connections with my students and help them achieve their goals and do their best. 

When I am not teaching at this amazing school with amazing students and staff I am at home with my husband Gary and two wonderful boys, AJ and Andy, and our Yorkie Dog Zander. I am also a Soccer, Basketball and Baseball Mom to both boys and love watching them play sports. We enjoy living here in the Lexington community and both boys are in the Lex 1 School District.
