Clay Kemerer

My name is Clay Kemerer and I teach 8th grade resource. I moved to Rock Hill, South Carolina in 2017 from New Castle, Pennsylvania. I began my teaching career as a resource teacher in Chester County School District at Great Falls Elementary. I hold bachelor’s degrees in special education and early childhood education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. I am currently working on my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership through the University of South Carolina. Outside of school, I enjoy cheering for my hometown Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, Penn State football, and the Charlotte Hornets! My wife Jamie and I have a dog and 2 cats. We moved to Lexington in May 2019 and I began teaching at Beechwood when it opened in August 2019. I have coached the Beechwood Basketball team since 2019, and will be the 7th grade boys coach this year. Most recently, in February of 2022, we welcomed our baby boy Easton, and I love spending my free time with him! I look forward to an amazing school year. Go Bengals!
