Freedom of Information Act

In accordance with South Carolina Code of Laws Title 30, Chapter 4, the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act grants citizens access to certain public records, subject to applicable legal exemptions. Lexington County School District One may deny requests to non-citizens of the State of South Carolina. To minimize delays in processing, your request should be specific so that the District may respond appropriately.

Title IX

Title IX is a Federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, including pregnancy and parental status, in educational programs and activities. The law states: “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”
