Mr. Todd C. Brown

Mr. Brown enters his third year as Principal at Carolina Springs Elementary School. He began his career as a special education teacher at Gilbert Middle School and has served in the Assistant Principal role at Barnwell Primary School, Irmo Elementary, Carolina Springs Elementary, Pelion Elementary and Pleasant Hill Elementary. He is a graduate of The College of Charleston with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education, a Master of Sport Science from the United States Sports Academy and a Master of Education Administration from Grand Canyon University. Mr. Brown is happily married to Whitney, a nurse and has twin 5th graders, Jackson and Riley. When he is not at school, Mr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, watching sports (Steelers, Pirates, Gamecock football  and Duke basketball), running and listening to music. 

I have never been more excited about starting a school year than I am now entering the 2022-2023 school year. The CSES family is growing and students and families are extremely lucky to have caring and dedicated teachers ready to meet students' academic and emotional needs. Huskies, It’s Grow Time!

Mr. Brandan Craig

Mr. Craig joins the Carolina Springs family, serving previously for 1 year as the Coordinator of the Elementary Virtual School Program, in Columbia, SC and 3 years as the Assistant Principal at Crowders Creek Elementary School, in Clover, SC. In 2012, he began his career as a first grade teacher in Lancaster County School District. Over the course of 10 years, Mr. Craig has taught 1st, 4th, and 5th grades along with having served as an Assistant Administrator, Assistant Principal, and Program Coordinator. In 2015, Mr. Craig was named District Beginning Teacher of the Year. Mr. Craig received his Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina Upstate and a Master of Education degree in School Leadership from the University of South Carolina. When he is not at school Mr. Craig loves attending South Carolina football games and traveling as much as possible.

Mrs. Tomeka Love

Mrs. Tomeka Love joins the Carolina Springs family, serving previously for 2 ½ years as the Assistant Principal, Staff Development Coordinator, and Coordinator of Federal Programs at Felton Laboratory Charter School, in Orangeburg, SC. In 2005, she began her career as School-Based Mental Health Counselor in Saluda School District. In 2006, she accepted the of School Counselor at Saluda Elementary School, and over the course of 10 years, Mrs. Love transitioned into additional roles: School Testing Coordinator, ESOL Coordinator, RTI and Behavior Interventionist Teacher. In 2014, Mrs.Love was named Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Love received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Francis Marion University, Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, School Counseling Certification and Education Specialist Degree in Administration and Leadership from Clemson University. During the summer months, you will find the Love family traveling to AAU and USATF track meets, cheering on their daughter and nephew, who are both avid runners. As a family, the Love’s enjoy traveling and sports!
