About this handbook
Lexington One provides this handbook to help students and families understand district rules, procedures and expectations. It also helps families learn where to find board policies and other important information.
This handbook is a guide. It does not replace official policies and procedures approved by the Lexington One Board of Trustees. It does not create an expressed or implied contract.
The district may update, change or discontinue the policies, rules and procedures referenced in this handbook at any time. For the most current version of board policies, visit https://v3.boardpolicyonline.com/b/lex.
Families can also find the handbook in ParentSquare and on student mobile computing devices in the Student Resources app. Families who do not have computer access at home may visit a branch of the Lexington County Public Library or contact their child’s school for help.

When you have questions or concernsWe want to work with families to support each student’s learning, growth and success. If you have a question or concern about your child’s grades, behavior, activities or school experience, please start with the person closest to the situation.Step 1: Contact the teacher, coach or staff member.
Start by contacting the teacher, coach or staff member who works most directly with your child. You may send a ParentSquare message, call or schedule a meeting.Step 2: Contact an assistant principal.
If your question or concern is not resolved, contact the appropriate assistant principal. You may call or schedule a meeting.Step 3: Contact the principal.
If you still need help after speaking with an assistant principal, contact the principal. You may call or schedule a meeting.Step 4: Contact Central Services.
If the concern remains unresolved, contact Central Services. Staff will connect you with the executive director, director or coordinator who works with that area.Step 5: Contact the appropriate chief officer.
If the concern is still unresolved after speaking with the executive director, director or coordinator, you may contact the chief officer who oversees that area.
