Lexington District One’s statement regarding RCES teacher
LEXINGTON, S.C. — On September 23, Lexington County School District One was made aware of a situation involving Rocky Creek Elementary School Teacher Victoria F. Weiss. The district immediately notified law enforcement and placed Weiss on administrative leave.
Rocky Creek Elementary, as well as the school district, cooperated fully with law enforcement during this investigation.
As of Oct. 13, Weiss is no longer employed by Lexington District One.
“The safety of our students is our top priority,” said Dr. Greg Little, Superintendent. “It is unacceptable for a staff member to potentially threaten the wellbeing of a child. We will continue to work to ensure all of our children have a safe environment to learn and grow. Rocky Creek Elementary has a sterling reputation which will not be tarnished by the actions of one person.”
