River Bluff Students Sweep "We The People" State Competition

The SC We the People competition is sponsored by the SC Bar Association.  Students participating in this competition do an intensive study of US History and American Government, with specific emphasis on the US Constitution.   Each student is assigned to one of 6 units, with each unit focusing on a particular topic. The topics range from the philosophical foundations of our government to contemporary applications of the US Constitution.   On December 3, the River Bluff High School We the People team competed in and won the state competition, beating three other teams from South Carolina.  For the first time ever, our students won the best unit award for the competition for all six of the units.  The students now have the opportunity to participate in the national We the People competition, which is held in April of 2021.
