On May 10 and May 17, 2022, the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees named Margaret C. Davis the new assistant principal of Forts Pond Elementary School; Jason R. Lehmann the new assistant principal at Pelion Middle; William Moody the new employee development coordinator; and Jessica L. Vicari new assistant principal of Lakeside Middle. These positions are effective July 1, 2022.

An educator with almost 19 years of experience, Margaret C. “Casey” Davis is currently the assistant principal of Pelion Elementary School. During college at Winthrop University, Davis served as a 4K teacher assistant at McFeat Laboratory Preschool and as an academic tutor at Richard W. Riley College of Education.

After she graduated in 2008, she stepped into the classroom at Lewisville Elementary School, teaching fourth and fifth grades, and in 2010, she transferred to Chester Park Center for Literacy Through Technology to teach fourth grade, both in Chester County School District. In 2011, she transferred to Rosewood International Elementary School in Rock Hill Schools to teach fourth and fifth grades. She joined the Lexington District One family in 2015, teaching fifth grade at Meadow Glen Elementary School. Davis was promoted to assistant principal of Pelion Elementary School in 2019.

Davis holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Winthrop University. She earned a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction, as well as a Master of Education in educational leadership, from University of South Carolina

Jason R. Lehmann is currently the assistant principal of Forts Pond Elementary School. He joined Lexington District One in 2020 from Connecticut, where he served as principal of East Hampton Middle School. Under his leadership, the school was named a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Model School by the State Education Resource Center two years in a row. Lehmann also served as assistant principal of EHMS for four years prior to his promotion to principal. From 2008–11, he worked as athletic director of  Willington Public Schools. Before that, he taught middle school science and mathematics for six years at Hall Memorial School in Willington, Connecticut.

Lehmann earned a Bachelor of Science in middle grades education from the University of North Carolina Charlotte, a Master of Educational Technology from the University of Connecticut and a second master's degree in educational leadership from Sacred Heart University. He also holds certifications in education leadership from both Sacred Heart University and Central Connecticut State University.

William H. Moody, as an experienced educator, began his career in 1998 as a school counselor in the School District of Newberry County, first at Reuben Elementary School as a school counselor from 1998 to 2003 and then at Gallman Elementary School as a school counselor from 2003 to 2005. In 2005, he joined Richland School District Two as a counselor at Round Top Elementary School in Blythewood. Named Teacher of the Year three times, Moody represented his schools in the District Teacher of the Year process. In 2014, Moody was promoted to the position of assistant principal at Round Top Elementary School. In 2018,

Moody joined the Lexington District One family and was hired as principal at Gilbert Primary. He took his current role as principal of Gilbert Elementary in 2020. The Palmetto State School Counselor Association named him the South Carolina Elementary School Counselor of the Year in 2009. He also served that organization as elementary vice president, president-elect and president, and was the statewide conference chair in 2014.

Moody earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the College of Charleston, a Master of Education in elementary guidance and counseling from the University of South Carolina, and a second Master of Education in educational leadership.

Jessica L. Vicari, PH.D., an educator with more than 15 years of experience, currently serves as the instructional coach and lead interventionist at Gilbert Middle School. She started her career in 2007 at Lexington Elementary School, teaching both second and fourth grades. In 2014, Dr. Vicari moved to Pleasant Hill Middle to teach English language arts. She was there for three years before transferring to Gilbert Middle to become the school’s instructional coach. In addition to teaching in Lexington District One, Dr. Vicari also serves as an adjunct instructor at both Converse College and the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Vicari earned a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education. She holds a Master of Arts in Education in divergent learning from Columbia College, a Master of Arts in Education in administration and supervision from the University of Phoenix, and a Masters +30. She also earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in language and literacy from the University of South Carolina. She holds a literacy specialist endorsement and a gifted and talented endorsement.
