District offers no-cost, summer food program for children
Beginning June 13, 2022, Lexington County School District One will provide meals at no cost to all children 18 and under, as well as individuals with disabilities up to 21 years old.
Breakfast and lunch meals will be served Monday through Thursday. Breakfast will be served from 8–9 a.m., and lunch meals will be served from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Meals must be eaten on-site in the cafeteria. No meals will be served on Monday, July 4, as schools will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday. The last day of meal service will be Thursday, July 28.
The summer food program locations include Centerville Elementary, Pelion Elementary and Red Bank Elementary. Children do not have to attend Lexington County School District One schools to receive the free food.

Department of Education and Lexington County School District One, provides and serves meals to children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
All meals meet federal nutrition standards.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation.
