    Dear Gilbert Elementary School Families,

We had a great week at GES!  Our SCOUTS have been excited and eager to learn each day.  We are pleased to see the growth they are making and continue to support their learning any way that we can.  Teachers are beginning to hold parent/teacher conferences, so please make sure to schedule a time to meet with them to help us support our SCOUTS!  Below I have included several reminders, links, and opportunities for our students.  As many of you may have experienced, there are lots of illnesses going around this time of year.  We constantly encourage students to wash their hands and take precautions so we can stay healthy and come to school.  This Monday night is our next SIC meeting at 6:00 in the conference room, anyone is welcome to attend.  This Thursday from 5:00-8:00 is our next GES Sonic Night at the Sonic near Lexington High School on Hwy 1.  Come out and support our school!  4K applications and 5K enrollment is now open - spread the word to friends and neighbors so we can get started on planning for next school year. A link with detailed information is below and I know Coach Duvall and Coach Barahona would love to have as many students join as possible!    Our PTO's Love Our School Fundraiser for the month of February is underway.  Our PTO has some great ideas and your support will help make them come true.  Wishing all of you an early Happy Valentine’s Day!
