Parents,
As a school district, we are beginning the process of developing our next Strategic Plan that will be our guide over the next five years. It is important that your voice is heard. Lexington One is planning on having several meetings for you to offer your input. Although the exact time and location have not yet been determined, they will be in February. I will let you know more information in the upcoming weeks. Our guide in developing this plan will be the Profile of a South Carolina Graduate. I have provided some information on this profile below. This is our “North Star” as a school and a district.
The Profile of the South Carolina Graduate has been adopted and approved by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA), the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness, the Education Oversight Committee (EOC), the State Board of Education (SBE), and the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) in an effort to identify the knowledge, skills, and characteristics a high school graduate should possess in order to be prepared for success as they enter college or pursue a career. The profile is intended to guide all that is done in support of college- and career-readiness.
