Friday, Nov. 11 shifts to e-learning

Dear Lexington District One Families:

All Lexington District One schools will shift to e-learning on Friday, Nov. 11, as possible severe weather is predicted in our area because of Tropical Storm Nicole. That means the school buildings and offices will close Friday, with teachers assigning both virtual instruction and/or take-home lessons.

We realize that power outages are possible, so students will have five school days to complete all assignments to be counted present.

The National Weather Service predicts strong wind gusts, possible severe weather and unpredictable weather conditions, which could be dangerous for our buses and drivers.

All afterschool activities and sports are canceled for Friday, Nov. 11.

Here is what our students need to do Friday. Please check your learning management system and/or district email for assignments and directions from your teacher(s). Complete assignments as instructed. Families may also want to check their email in case your student’s teacher emails you with directions.

Also, make sure you and your family have a weather safety plan in place in the event you would need it. As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
