Weekly Updates from Mrs. McNair

Hello Explorers!

Exploring the Glen and the MGES Website are great resources for information happening at Meadow Glen Elementary School!

If you are looking for an adventure this weekend, Mrs. Bumgarner and Mrs. Weaver have posted a new Story Walk - How to Catch a Monster by Adam Wallace. This can be found along the fence of our kindergarten playground.

We are very appreciative of our school community, family, and friends. Your support of MGES through our fall fundraiser has been overwhelming. At last count, we have raised over $14,000 to support student success at Meadow Glen.

MGES Family Night at Salsaritas: Tuesday, September 27 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Stop by for dinner and remember to mention MGES for our school to earn money back!

Fall Picture Day is Wednesday, September 28. I cannot wait to see all those smiles! Information has been shared through your child’s homeroom teacher.

Several of you have asked about snacks and using money on the lunch account to purchase these. While we need to keep snack and meal money separate, if you preloaded money on your child’s account specifically for snacks, please contact our school cafeteria for help.

To add money to your child’s account or to complete an online application for free/reduced meals, use the link https://family.titank12.com/

Good luck to all of our students trying out this week for the Little Gator Archery team.

We recently updated the way to report your student’s COVID-19 positive test results for the 2022–23 school year.

All student reports of a positive COVID-19 test result will be completed through the COVID-19 report form found in PowerSchool Parent Portal. The previous Google form link is no longer accepting responses.

After logging on to the Parent Portal, select ‘Forms’ in the navigation bar, then fill out and submit the “COVID-19 Reporting Form.” We will email you further information on when your student may return to school and school-sponsored events.

Upcoming Events:

September 26: League of Women Voters - Board Forum to meet the candidates

September 27: Salsarita Night from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

September 27 or 28: Little Gator Archery tryouts

September 28: Fall Picture Day

Week of October 3-7: Parent Teacher Conferences

Thank you to everyone who is working hard to make this year a successful year of growth. We appreciate working with each of you as we work together to empower each child to design the future!
