Dear Gilbert Elementary School Families,
We had an awesome short week at GES! I’d like to thank all the families that were able to meet with teachers and check-in on how your student(s) are doing. Like I’ve said before, the partnership between home and school is so important to the success of our SCOUTS and we greatly appreciate you! Remember there is no school for students tomorrow, we hope our SCOUTS are enjoying their 4 day weekend! Below I have included several reminders, links, and opportunities for our students.
Our PTO's Love Our School Fundraiser for the month of February is underway. Our PTO has some great ideas and your support will help make them come true!
4K Application and 5K Enrollment is now open - spread the word to friends and neighbors so we can continue planning for next school year.

We will be hosting two career awareness activities in the month of March. On March 22nd, we will be having our Career Vehicle Day from 8am-1pm. We will also be hosting a Career Fair event on Thursday, March 28th from 9am-12pm for our 3rd through 5th graders. We would like to invite you to bring a career vehicle you use in your job each day (ex. Fire truck, crane, tractor, etc.) for our career vehicle day OR be a speaker at our career fair that involves speaking about your job that may not involve using a vehicle (ex. Hair Stylist, banker, teacher, vet tech, etc.). If you would like to participate in either event, please contact one of our school counselors, Mackenzie Hall, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 803-821-1622. Thank you in advance for your support!
