A Message From Our Principal
-
Hello LIONS,
We have had a wonderful first semester together! We continue to learn what it means to be kind, confident, respectful, hard-working learners. Our fundraiser in November was incredible and together our community raised money for new playground equipment and to sponsor additional instructional materials for all of our classrooms. We also raised funds during our annual Quarter by Quarter fundraiser to support Relay for Life. Before winter break, our children collected items for many great community service projects, supporting Happy Wheels, Oliver Gospel Mission, Manna House Lexington, and Carolina Wildlife Center. Be sure to follow us on our social media platforms to see all of the great things happening at NPE.
We're excited about the second semester ahead! We will continue our focus on small-group instruction in reading, writing and math. We'll also continue our weekly character education badge challenges. In January, we'll take our second i-Ready reading and math assessments. We'll use this data to adjust individual student goals and refine our classroom instructional practices. We will also continue our focus on computer science integration projects and vocabulary and the programming of Lego robots, Minecraft and other applications.
Parents and guardians, if you have any questions or need any assistance, be sure to reach out to us by phone (803) 821-3300 or via email at npestechnicalhelp@lexington1.net. You can also email or call the teacher directly or reach out to any of our counselors or administrators.
Keep an eye on our website and don't forget to "like" our page on Facebook, follow us on Instagram and Twitter. GO LIONS! #wearenpe #npelions #npe15. Also, make sure to check out our weekly publication, The Lion Ledger, for updates, and information about the many amazing things happening at NPE.
Be Kind, Be Confident, Be Respectful, Work Hard
