Mr. Harmon is an outdoor education teacher Meadow Glen Middle School. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in middle level education with an emphasis in science. He taught 6th grade science for 5 years in Lexington School District One which included 4 years at Lexington Middle School before he taught at Meadow Glen Middle for its inaugural year. He earned his master’s degree in education from Columbia College in 2011 as well as his National Board Certification in early adolescent science. In 2013, along with Coach Thomas, he created the outdoor education class for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades which he currently teaches. Mr. Harmon loves spending time with his wife, daughter, son, and dog. Mr. Harmon loves getting to share his passion for the natural world with his students and is passionate about outdoor pursuits.
